I offer services for those treating a terminal illness as well as those caretaking for someone with a terminal diagnosis. Services include:
Meeting you where you are (hospital, nursing home or home) to assist you in creating a peaceful experience by providing practical, emotional, and spiritual support. Loosing a loved one can create a myriad of emotions making the process feel overwhelming. Even with loved ones around, we can still feel stressed, alone, and ungrounded. It can be helpful to have someone around to handle things - to make sure the process is going smoothly so you can take care of yourself as best as possible.
I listen, facilitate family meetings, handle crisis, help with reconciliation, create soothing rituals, manage guests, assist hospice, help with arrangements…lighten your load around what is happening. I am a licensed counselor and also a trained hospice volunteer.
Before or after an illness sets in, I help guide individuals and families in getting paper work in order so that the survivors are not left making difficult decisions. This is an important piece that many people do not discuss while feeling healthy but when left undone can create undue stress and second guessing for those who are remaining. I can talk to you about a variety of services and ways to create a memorable and loving service for you loved one.
